Release of Flexfill PEBA 90A

Fillamentum Industrial Introduces new flexibles filament Flexfill PEBA 90A based on polyether-block-amide (PEBA). This material with excellent mechanical properties exhibits different thermal, mechanical, and chemical behavior in comparison to Flexfill TPU and TPE.

A most notable property of this material is its flexibility and rebound resilience preserved at very low temperatures as low as -60 °C. Exceptional chemical resistance, such as resistance to car fluids, gas, diesel, oil, etc. enables a wide range of possible applications for this material. Without obvious damage, it’s resistant to the application of repeated or fluctuating stresses, strains, or stress intensities to locations on structural components.

High reversible deformation and tear resistance contribute to the many possible ways this material can be used along with high energy return and low hysteresis. Another great advantage is the low density resulting in lightness. Even though this material is highly technical, it’s also recyclable, BPA free, and has low fumes release. The input materials were carefully selected in order to achieve the best possible processability and final properties. Pleasant are also the optical properties of the printed object, namely the glossy, very transparent finish.

Flexfill PEBA 90A is a very hydroscopic and moisture sensitive material. Please keep the spools in a protective sachet with silica gel. However, we recommend re-drying the material before the use for the best results. The recommended printing temperature ranges between 225–245 °C and the heated bed temperature is in the range of 70–90 °C.
